Becoming a social
worker always seemedcy like a natural for Janine, who was known by her
family and friends for having a big heart and wanting to help others.
First thinking she would work with children, she eventually realized
her calling in helping the elderly.
the agency’s Global Options for Long Term Care and JACC (Jersey
Assistance for Community Caregiving) programs. Global Options was
created to improve access to a wider range of in-home long-term
supportive services for seniors and adults with physical disabilities
who meet the income requirements established by Medicaid. JACC is a
state-funded program that provides a broad array of in-home services for
individuals at risk of placement in a nursing facility to allow them to
remain as long as possible in their homes. Janine also supervises the
Seasonal Housekeeping program at HomeCare Options.
Janine, who has
worked at HomeCare Options since 2010, holds a BA degree from Montclair
